Dr. Michael Monfett is proud to announce the opening of his first sports medicine and spine injury clinic in New York City in the Financial District (FIDI). Skyline PMR located in Lower Manhattan offers diagnostics and treatments focused on patients living a pain-free.
Skyline Sports & Spine Medicine specializes in non surgical pain relief utilizing treatments that include Botox injections and Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy (PRP Therapy) for pain relief.
Dr. Michael Monfett takes time to learn about each patient one-on-one, and will consider what treatments will work best given his or her symptoms. Skyline Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation treats athletes, auto accident victims, workers injured on-the-job suffering chronic pain.
Dr. Monfett is board certified in physical medicine, rehabilitation and pain medicine. Dr. Monfett specializes in treating back pain, neck pain, knee, shoulder and hip pain, utilizing non-surgical procedures such as Botox injections, PRP Therapy (platelet rich plasma treatment), nerve blocks, and physical therapy.
Dr. Michael Monfett has fellowship training in interventional spine, sports medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and electrodiagnostic studies. He completed his fellowship training at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and has served as a team physician for a variety of men’s and women’s university and high school sports programs.
Dr. Monfett completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation / Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, Newark, NJ, and also studied at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in affiliation with Jersey City Medical Center, Jersey City, NJ.
Dr. Monfett received his medical degree from Saint George’s University School of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from Brown University, Providence, RI, where he was Captain of the men’s lacrosse team.
